The Art of Print
When it comes to color adjustment, no one knows better what you’re looking for than
you. Color, though an exact science, is subjective to the human eye. That’s what
makes Printing an art form.
A Color OK is your opportunity to make fine-tune adjustments to your
press sheet as it “runs” – live on press, and to make a final approval [aka: sign-off]
of the printed piece. Also known as a Press Check – this
is your opportunity to check: registration (confirming the proper position of all
colors on the sheet); the rosette pattern (a pattern of dots clearly seen under
magnification to create a full color image); final cropping/rule-out (the trim,
score, fold, and cut positions); and spot check (comparing swatches to your printed
piece).
